As Stated by UNICEF: children with disabilities in hard-to-reach areas benefit from inclusive education and rehabilitation services

Children with disabilities face persistent barriers to education. They are among the most likely to miss out on opportunities to learn and develop skills for employment, independent living, and full community participation. UNICEF, in collaboration with the State Welfare Organization (SWO) and the Ministry of Education, has supported trainings for community-based rehabilitation volunteers to enhance inclusive education and rehabilitation services for 270 children living with disabilities in eastern provinces of Iran.
UNICEF will continue to work with the SWO and the Ministry of Education to build the capacity of community workers and teachers in hard-to-reach areas to improve access to inclusive education opportunities for all children living with disabilities.
